How to reach Ischia by train, air or car

To reach our island, come to Naples and take either a hydrofoil (40 mins) or a ferry boat (90mins) for Ischia. Alternatively, to catch the ferry from Pozzuoli (60 mins), first follow the motorway signs for Naples, then local signs for the Pozzuoli ferry port.

By train
The two points of arrival are the railway stations in Piazza Garibaldi (in the centre of Naples) and in Mergellina. From either station you can take a taxi to the Molo Beverello or that of Mergellina from where hydrofoils leave for Ischia. From Mergellina station you can also reach the port there on foot (around 1 km), advisable only if you don’t have luggage. www.caremar.it - www.alilauro.it

By air
The airport of Capodichino has good connections with other Italian and European cities. You can reach both ports, Beverello and Mergellina, by taxi; we advise that you consult the timetables to select the most convenient crossing.

By car
For Naples
After the toll gate of Caserta-Sud (Caserta South) follow the motorway towards Naples until the exit “Napoli Centro Porto” (Naples Centre Port). As soon as you have entered the city streets, follow the signs to enter the port.
For Pozzuoli
After paying the toll at Caserta Sud (Caserta South) follow the Autostrada del Sole towards Naples until you find the exit to the Tangenziale (Ring road) which sends you towards Pozzuoli. Drive the entire length of the ring road, across Naples, and after paying the toll, leave at the first exit “12 Via Campana”. From here, follow the signs for the port. To reach Ischia you can also cross to its other port, at Casamicciola. www.caremar.it  www.medmargroup.it
Always book the ferry well ahead of time.
